Dr. Donald Gran honored during holiday luncheon
The 2011 Florida Campus Holiday Luncheon was held on December 15. Employees from the Campus and Clinic mingled with one another and enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared by Silvia Polanco and her Java City staff. Highlighting the presentation of service awards was the 20-year service award presented by President Peter Martin, D.C., to Donald Gran, M.S. Ed., D.C., Dean of Academic Affairs.
In accepting the award, Dr. Gran shared the following: “When I started to work at Palmer after returning from 10 years of practice in Italy, I thought I would stay long enough to decide where I wanted to open a practice. That was before I experienced the thrill of seeing the light go on in the eyes of students. You can’t beat the satisfaction of sharing your knowledge and experience with students hungry to learn. Here I am 20 years later, and I can’t imagine how my chiropractic career could have been any more fulfilling. Between all the experiences with students and the collaboration with my colleagues, I would not change a thing. I hope to celebrate many more years with Palmer.”
