Davenport Campus Spizz Night features great speakers and fundraising for Colorado fire victims
The latest SPIZZ Night, presented by the Palmer Student Alumni Foundation (PSAF) on July 13, featured speakers Dr. Suzanne Seekins and Executive Director of Alumni Dr. Mickey Burt. The free event also included a Vendor Fair and taco bar. In addition, PSAF collected donations to support the American Red Cross in their efforts to provide disaster relief for the devastating wild fires in Colorado and other parts of the U.S. ScripHessco donated a chiropractic adjusting table and students made donations to be entered into the raffle ticket drawing during SPIZZ Night. More than $300 was raised for the cause.
“Spizz night was a great success, and a lot of fun,” said Annie Gehlsen, PSAF second vice president.” The speakers did an awesome job. Dr. Seekins spoke mainly about pediatric care and the importance it has played in her life and practice. Dr. Burt had a powerful and uplifting message about his life in Chiropractic. He explained that with hard work and confidence, we will be able to accomplish anything that we want in our future careers.”
The next Spizz Night is scheduled for Nov. 2. If you are interested in attending, please contact Lisa Walden.
