NCCA Pediatric Council presents at UNC Chapel Hill
The North Carolina Chiropractic Association’s (NCCA) Pediatric Council achieved one step in its goal to improve relations between pediatricians and chiropractors by presenting chiropractic pediatrics to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Medical School’s pediatric residents. The unprecedented event was very well received, and attendance was even higher than anticipated and included one of the chief residents. Jennifer Murphy, D.C., DICCP (Davenport ’95), and D. Alisha Davis, D.C., DACCP, collaborated in the effort and were met with genuine interest in the subject matter.
The goal of the Council is to expand the program to other medical school programs in order to educate medical residents about chiropractic pediatrics and obstetrics. The Council would also like to expand the introduction material to encourage more in-depth conversations.
