Palmer is official chiropractor for Symetra Tour’s Daytona Beach Invitational
The Symetra Tour – Road to the LPGA kicked off its 32nd year this March in Florida and returned to the Sunshine State for the season finale. This is the first time the the Symetra Tour has been held at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. on the grounds of LPGA Headquarters. The Daytona Beach Invitational presented by Embry-Riddle, held September 28-30, was the last chance for players to break into the top-10 spots on the money list. The top-10 players on the season-ending money list received exempt status for 2013 on the LPGA Tour.
For the Sports Council on the Florida Campus, it was an opportunity to treat the female golfers, caddies and staff as the tournaments’ official chiropractor. As an official partner for the tournament, the Palmer brand was visible everywhere, from the treatment area to the caddies’ bibs. Many of the players were regular patients of chiropractic.
“This was my first stop this morning,” said one of the players as she received treatment. “It helps me to get loosened up and get the kinks out, then I can focus on my game.”
Throughout the practice rounds and tournament, Palmer’s Sports Council treated dozens of players, staff and officials. For Florida Camps intern Andrew George, 11th quarter, the experience made quite an impression. “I think it's fantastic that our campus has developed this relationship with professional golf. Our presence provides great exposure for chiropractic, the clinic and our College. The Palmer name is everywhere!”
