Dr. Dan Spencer named MAC Chiropractor of the Year
At the Michigan Association of Chiropractors (MAC) Fall Convention & Exhibition in Dearborn, Sept. 28-30, Dan Spencer, D.C. (Davenport '95), of Hillsdale, Michigan, was named Chiropractor of the Year for 2012. Dr. Spencer currently serves as MAC President, and was awarded the honor “in appreciation for valuable leadership, service and dedication above and beyond the call of duty to the chiropractic profession.”
Said Dr. Spencer, “To be recognized by my peers is a great honor. More important, however, is working to achieve the vision of the MAC, which is ‘A healthy, knowledgeable citizenry with fair and open access to chiropractic.’”
The MAC currently represents nearly 1,500 practicing doctors of chiropractic and their patients with a total statewide membership of approximately 1,700. The primary goal of the MAC is to improve access to chiropractic care in the state, which will better serve the health care needs of the public. This will also help to reduce overall healthcare costs through the utilization of natural, non-invasive healthcare methods.
Dr. Spencer is the owner of the Contact For Health Chiropractic Centers in Hudson and Reading, and serves as a member of the Hillsdale Community Health Center physician staff.
