Palmer College Paints the Towne 2012
A picture-perfect day saw more than 400 runners and walkers complete a three-mile loop through historic old Daytona Beach for the 2012 Palmer Paints the Towne 5K Run/Walk held on November 4. As the title sponsor, Palmer College and Clinics were joined by other notable sponsors such as Halifax Health, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Brown and Brown Insurance, Bonefish Grill and Coca-Cola. The race begins and ends at the Jackie Robinson Ballpark where Palmer’s Sports Council treats participants before and after the race.
“As always, Palmer’s sponsorship and presence during the race adds so much to the event," said Donna Hiatt, event director. "And you know how much I love having your students involved!”
In addition to Palmer’s Sports Council providing chiropractic services, several students, faculty and family members take part in the race. Associate professor, Ed Pappagallo, D.C., and his family walked in the race.
“This is great exposure for the students and the College," said Dr. Pappagallo. "We really enjoyed it and plan on doing it again next year.”
