Students, faculty and staff join forces for Student Olympics
On a beautiful Florida day, students, faculty and staff joined together for a day of fun and games on the Florida Campus. Organized by the Student Council, the Student Olympics featured a dunk tank, with “dunkee” Instructor Dr. Jimi LaRose, an obstacle course, a bean bag toss, a pie-eating contest, tug-o-war and much more.
With a wonderful lunch prepared by the Food Services team, just about everyone from the campus and clinic was on-hand to enjoy the fun. Students mingled about--many with their dogs--and enjoyed a break from class and the opportunity to compete with or against their instructors.
“This type of activity is great for our campus. It brings everyone together to just have fun and get to know each other a little better. The Student Council did an excellent job of coordinating the event, especially the way they included faculty and staff,” said Dawn Funk, student activities coordinator.
