Eighty-six graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic; Dr. Joel Pickar receives Fellowship
Palmer College of Chiropractic held commencement ceremonies for 86 graduates on Friday, June 14, in Vickie Anne Palmer Hall auditorium on the Palmer campus in Davenport. There were 81 Doctor of Chiropractic degrees, four Associate of Science in Chiropractic Technology degrees and one Master of Science in Clinical Research degree awarded. The commencement speaker was Palmer’s Director of Chiropractic Rehabilitation and Sports Injury David Juehring, D.C., D.A.C.R.B., and the Honors Convocation speaker was Assistant Professor Judy Bhatti, M.S., D.C.
The class valedictorian was Alyssa Kurth, Green Bay, Wis., and the salutatorian was Alexander Belke, Milwaukee, Wis. The Virgil V. Strang Philosophy Award winner was Lakyn Crist, Wisconsin, and the recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award was John Dee King, Davenport, Iowa. Palmer Professor Emeritus Joel Pickar, D.C., Ph.D., received a Fellowship in the Palmer Academy of Chiropractic.
“It’s your time; you’re up,” Dr. Juehring told the graduates. “It’s time for you to come up to the line and compete. You’re ready. You have the skills and the desire.”
