Palmer 'Paints the Towne' for 5K
A beautiful central Florida fall day welcomed the nearly 200 participants, most of them local families and children, to the annual Palmer Paints the Towne 5K staged at Jackie Robinson Ballpark and run through a 3.1 mile loop around historic old Daytona. The day also included a run/walk and Kiddie Dash.
Each year the race is scheduled to coincide with the annual Halifax Art Festival which is held on Beach Street, a few hundred yards from the finish line. The Florida Sports Council was on hand again this year, providing pre and post-race chiropractic treatment for the runners.
