Henry Otterholt, D.C., (PSC 1914) traveled to New Zealand to take over the practice of Thomas Giles. Giles had read about chiropractic and established a very successful practice in Dunedin. Giles left his practice in Otterholt’s hands and enrolled at the Palmer School. So although Giles was the first to practice chiropractic in New Zealand, Otterholt was the first formally trained chiropractor in New Zealand.
