Davenport Campus Security

Security on the Davenport Campus is provided by Per Mar Security. They operate out of Room W104 in West Hall. Security guards patrol campus buildings and parking lots and Code Blue telephones are located in all campus parking lots for use in requesting emergency assistance or escort services from Campus Security. Security has the authority and responsibility for:

• Locking, securing and patrolling campus buildings
• Patrolling campus parking lots
• Removing unauthorized persons from campus properties/buildings
• Issuing vehicle parking tickets
• Towing illegally parked vehicles
• Contacting the Davenport Police or Fire departments as needed
• Providing escort services to individuals while on Palmer property when requested
• All photo ID cards are the property of the College and must be presented to faculty, staff and authorized officials upon request.

Campus Security does not have the authority to arrest individuals, so the Davenport Police Department will be called if deemed necessary.

Palmer Alert

Palmer Alert is the name of Palmer College’s emergency notification system. The College has contracted with Blackboard Connect to use their Connect-ED system which enhances Palmer’s ability to effectively communicate with students and employees on each campus using landline phones, cellular phones, voicemail, e-mail and text messaging.
