Welcome CLASS 101!
Welcome to the David D. Palmer Health Sciences Library!

The David D. Palmer Health Sciences Library (PHSL) collections are classified in the United States Library of Congress classification system. The collections are searched online with iPac - Palmer Health Sciences Library online library catalog.

Located on the 3rd floor, the skywalk level, basic and health sciences books which can be checked for two weeks. The periodical collection cannot be checked out. Hold requests may be placed at the Circulation Desk on PHSL materials which are already checked out.

PHSL faculty are available at the Reference Desk Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Computer workstations in the Reference area provide searching in databases (many full-text) such as:  Index to Chiropractic Literature, MANTIS, OCLC FirstSearch, PubMed and EBSCOhost . Many of the databases can be searched from off-campus, please inquire at the Reference Desk for more information.

Interlibrary Loan is available to all students for articles and books Palmer Health Sciences Library does not own. The cost of books is no charge and articles are typically $2 per request.

Located on the 2nd floor, the Reserve Collection supports faculty and classroom instruction with group study tables. There are two photocopy machines available with VendaCard/coin charge systems. Audiovisual equipment, videotapes and other media formats are available for viewing in the AV area; selected programs circulate out of the library for two days.

The Center for Teaching & Learning computer lab is located on the 2nd floor of the library. These workstations provide e-mail access, Internet access, word-processing & spreadsheet programs and several computer aided instruction software programs.

Located on the 1st floor is Special Collections. PHSL's Special Collections, with more than 9,000 books and 2,500 journal volumes, is considered the most comprehensive chiropractic historical resource in the world. The Archives Collection contains more than 2,700 cubic feet of manuscripts, photographs and college records. Special Collections offers access to its collection and reference assistance services Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m
