Building for the Future
Resources and support
Construction began in summer 2016 on
several Davenport campus projects supported
by the Investing in a Healthier Tomorrow
capital campaign. These include the
northwest campus gateway renovations,
transforming the Alumni Auditorium into the
R. Richard Bittner Athletic & Recreation Center,
and enhancing the Clinic Garden.
A bronze statue of Vickie Anne Palmer was dedicated during a special event,
honoring her work as "The Refiner" of chiropractic. The event was held Feb.
26, 2016, during the Florida campus Homecoming. Ms. Palmer and Board of
Trustees Chairman Trevor Ireland, D.C., are pictured with the statue following
The West campus made a major adjustment in its primary
source of energy by installing rooftop solar panels from SilRay,
Inc., an award-winning leader in the field of solar technology.
The conversion to solar as the campus' primary source of power
began in May.
In response to an increasing number of interns entering the West
campus clinic, six new treatment rooms, two offices and two full-time
clinicians were added. Additionally, patient visits increased by
18.5 percent in FY 2015-16.
