Dr. Virginia Barber graduated summa cum laude in 1990 from Palmer College’s main campus in Davenport, Iowa. She went on to manage two private practices in both New York and Iowa before joining the Palmer faculty as an instructor in the Palmer Clinic System in 1994. Dr. Barber has been an asset to the College and to many Palmer students since that time and serves as a professor in the Academic Health Center, the Campus Guides Faculty Advisor for the main campus, and a founder and co-chair of the Palmer Women’s Institute. Dr. Barber has invested in students through gifts to the College and is part of the Palmer Annual Giving Society as a Founder’s Circle member in the Palmer Annual Giving Society.
Outside of Palmer College, Dr. Barber is an active member of the Quad Cities community. She volunteers with Genesis Health System and Compassus Hospice, is a member of the Quad Cities AIDS Coalition, and was a developer of the Broadway Neighbor Help Program. Dr. Barber is actively involved as a leader in several campus committees and has presented and published numerous research projects. She works diligently to advance the chiropractic profession and Palmer College.
