Last fall, the Enrollment Department
created the College External Relations (CER)
team, led by CER Director Tasha Rucker. Since
then, Ms. Rucker and team member Kelan Ritchie,
a former admissions representative, hit the ground
(and air) running. Through prospective student
events, meetings with alumni and informational
sessions with college and university health-care
advisers, Palmer is being well-received and promoted
nationwide.
Bringing awareness and changing the outlook of
the chiropractic profession is the foundation of
Palmer’s College External Relations team strategy.
The main goal is to bridge the gap between communities
who know little about the profession and
the value of a Palmer education through events,
alumni participation and other enrollment initiatives.
Ms. Rucker and Mr. Ritchie are additionally
committed to increase awareness about opportunities
as a chiropractor and recruitment among
minorities and women.
Every college visit, community event, prospective
student event and college fair affords them an opportunity
to stop by local Palmer alumni offices
to introduce themselves and thank our esteemed
alumni for their commitment to Palmer and their
communities.
You can partner with us by involvement in online
webinars for prospective students; mentoring students
and providing job shadow opportunities;
hosting open houses; and providing contacts at
colleges, universities or military installations.
In every instance this year, participating alumni
have gained at least one new patient while educating
the community about the benefits of chiropractic
care.
If you’re interested, please contact Tasha Rucker. We appreciate
your support and look forward to connecting
with you soon.
