Class of '91 Comes Together for Students

At Homecoming on the Davenport campus in 2016, Frank Colella, D.C., was sitting at a local restaurant soaking in the nostalgia of being back on the Palmer College campus for his 25th reunion.

"Looking back at our careers, a bunch of my classmates and I decided to come together to establish a scholarship that would give a student a completely free trimester."

Frank talked with fellow 1991 graduates, worked closely with Palmer's Director of Development – Colbie Andes – and the Class of '91 Free Tri Scholarship was established. The gift scholarship was available to a student at the Davenport campus in any trimester, and Dr. Colella couldn't be more pleased with the result of his class' efforts.

"Almost two years after that initial conversation, Palmer was able to award the Class of '91 Free Tri Scholarship to Daniel Psaltis, a ninth trimester student. Now, my challenge to future 25th reunion classes is to continue this tradition. Let's do something special for the institution that gave us the amazing careers that we enjoy."
