More than 100 students and faculty members attended the Talk the TIC contest in June 2016 on Palmer’s Davenport campus. Talk the TIC is an international, student-based speech competition created to challenge chiropractic students to develop a five-minute speech explaining chiropractic to a layperson. Nine students participated in the speaking competition, and the top three were selected to compete in the Palmer finals in July. The winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the Talk the TIC finals in Marietta, Ga., in October 2016.

renovated David D. Palmer Health Services Library on the Florida campus

The David D. Palmer Health Sciences Library on the Florida campus was renovated and reopened in September 2015. There are seven new study rooms, with integrated whiteboards and monitors, and a new "information commons" area just outside of the main library, complete with lounge area, computers and printers.

The installation of awnings over the stairways and courtyard on the Florida campus is providing additional comfort and protection for students against the hot Florida sun and occasional downpours. The awnings also provide more shade in the courtyard area where students come to study and relax.
