Below Market Rate (BMR) Housing
In California, there is a below market rate (BMR) offered at many apartment complexes. This is a reduced rate for those who fall within certain income brackets. Students on financial aid typically qualify for the BMR rates. The key for many of these apartment complexes, is whether or not they accept financial assistance as a source of "income". If they do, then more than likely, you would be eligible for the below market rate.
