Davenport Campus D.C. Financial Aid

The following figures represent a 12-month average for expenses while attending the Davenport Campus. The figures in each category are estimated to assist students in planning future expenses.

Projected Educational Expenses 2012/2013 (Fiscal Year July 1, 2012 – June 30, 2013)  

Estimated Cost of Textbooks and Equipment per Academic Term (D.C. Program) 

During each academic term, students will be required to purchase textbooks that will be used throughout the academic program. The cost of textbooks per academic term is estimated to be $250. Students on each campus will be required to purchase equipment prior to entering the clinical portion of the academic program. Cost for the equipment may vary based upon the campus and curriculum. The academic term in which the equipment is required will also vary from campus to campus. The student budget will be adjusted accordingly for the academic term and the purchase of the equipment. The estimated cost of equipment is $1,500. 

Florida Campus D.C. Financial Aid

West Campus D.C. Financial Aid

The academic term in which the equipment is required will also vary from campus to campus. The student budget will be adjusted accordingly for the academic term and the purchase of the equipment. The estimated cost of equipment is $1,300. 

Additional Loan Assistance

Student Work Program 

Various departments on the West Campus employ students in a variety of jobs. These departments attempt first to find qualified students who are eligible for the Federal Workstudy Program. If none are available or funds have been exhausted, the department hires the student under the Student Work Program. The program is funded by Palmer College. Eligibility is not based on need. Students are hired according to the same criteria used in employing members of the College staff (i.e. skills, employment history, etc). The Human Resources Office is responsible for managing this program, receiving applications and posting job notices. Students must provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.

Debt Management Seminars

The Financial Planning Office sponsors quarterly debt management seminars to help students keep their debt level to a minimum. Some of the topics covered are: loan repayment options, working versus borrowing, budget planning, and conservative borrowing.
