There are many outside scholarships available to help fund your education. For all scholarships listed below, please refer to the links provided for updated deadlines, availability and contact information. Be sure to check with other organizations for potential scholarship opportunities.

Arctic Chiropractic Got a Spine Scholarship
Arctic Chiropractic in Fairbanks, Alaska provides a $500 scholarship each year called the Got a Spine Scholarship. Both U.S. and Canadian students are eligible to apply. The deadline is May 2, 2024. For more information, visit https://arcticchiropracticfairbanks.com/.

AAUW Grants & Fellowships
AAUW supports women who are preparing to advance their careers. Visit www.aauw.org for application requirements and deadline dates. Applications are available Aug. 1 with November, December, and January deadlines. 

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program
To apply you’ll need to submit an essay on the topic posted on the scholarship page of their website at www.abbottandfenner.com. The deadline is in early June each year, typically around the 10th.

American Black Chiropractic Association Scholarship
Visit www.abcachiro.com/ for full details and application. The award is based on application information/questions and academic records. The deadline is in May of each year.

The American Indian Graduate Center Scholarships
Must demonstrate enrollment in a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group, or possess one-fourth (1/4) degree verifiable federally recognized American Indian blood. Catching the Dream Scholarship (MESBEC)
Must be a Native American. For details on multiple awards visit www.catchingthedream.org.

Christian Chiropractor’s Association Auxiliary Scholarship
Applicant must be CCA member enrolled at an accredited chiropractic college. Visit christianchiropractors.org/scholarship.htm for more information. April 30 deadline annually.

FICS Scholarship

The Foxworth Family Scholarship
Applicant must be a full-time Doctor of Chiropractic student at an accredited institution with a minimum 2.7 GPA. For details and application visit www.chirohealthusa.com by the posted deadline date.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Must be of Hispanic heritage to apply for any of the listed scholarships. For details and a complete list of scholarships, visit http://www.hsf.net/. Deadlines vary for each award.

Iowa Chiropractic Education and Research Foundation (ICERF) Scholarship
The Iowa Chiropractic Education and Research Foundation has established up to two annual $2,500 chiropractic scholarships to be awarded to students attending Palmer College of Chiropractic, Northwestern Health Sciences University, Logan University, or Cleveland University-Kansas City.

The student must be a member of the Iowa Chiropractic Society, have successfully completed a minimum of 4 trimesters, and maintained a cumulative 3.0 GPA at the time of application. The student must be planning to reside and practice in the state of Iowa. Applicants must complete the application and provide a written essay and a written recommendation from a professor or academic advisor. Items must be received no later than Jan. 31, 2024. Japanese American Citizens League Educational Program
Must be an active member of the JACL. For details and a complete list of all available scholarships visit https://jacl.org/ and search scholarship. The deadline is April 1st each year.

Jewish Educational Loan Fund
JELF (Jewish Educational Loan Fund) is a non-profit that offers interest-free loans to Jewish students from FL, GA, SC, NC and VA enrolled full-time in higher education programs. Applicants should visit JELF.org to start the process.

Korean American Scholarship Foundation
Korean-American students can visit www.kasf.org for more details and deadline dates on various awards.

Legacy for Leadership Scholarship
Applications are now open for the ChiroCongress Cares inaugural $5,000 scholarship award. To apply, simply complete the online application. Applicants are required to provide their educational information, a brief essay describing their leadership qualities, and two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to their character and commitment to the chiropractic profession. Maynard Lipe Scholarship Award
Must be an honorable DC enrolled in a PG Orthopedics program leading to diplomate status or a master’s degree. Visit https://acco.wildapricot.org/scholarship/ for details. The deadline is in November.

The National Italian American Foundation Scholarship Program
For application details (open in January of each year) and a list of scholarships for Italian Americans, please visit www.niaf.org/programs/scholarships/. The deadline is in February annually.

NBCE Student Scholarship
Applicants must have passed all of NBCE Part I Boards to be eligible to apply. For full application details as well as complete eligibility requirements, please visit www.mynbce.org/scholarship. The deadline is typically the end of July annually.

Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Educational Support Award
Applicants must be mothers with minor children and meet certain income requirements. Applications will be available in April annually with a July or August deadline date. For complete eligibility criteria and an application, please visit www.patsyminkfoundation.org/.

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans
Applicant must be classified as a New American. See the website for full details. The deadline is November 1. Visit www.pdsoros.org/ for all application requirements.

P.E.O. International Scholarships for Women
P.E.O. International maintains educational projects in the form of grants, scholarships and loans. The P.E.O. Sisterhood proudly makes a difference in women’s lives with six philanthropies that include ownership of an all-women’s college, Cottey College, and five projects that provide higher educational assistance. Visit www.peointernational.org for information, as applications open on Sept. 15 for the 2022-2023 school year.

Sallie Mae Graduate School Scholarships
Visit www.salliemae.com/ for details on scholarships specifically for students seeking a graduate or professional degree.

SICA Scholarships
Visit www.chiropractic.org for criteria for all SICA scholarships, including: Auxiliary Scholarship & Arnold Schwarzenegger Chiropractic Scholarship. The deadline is in April each year.

The Vincent L. Hawkinson Foundation for Peace & Justice Scholarship
Applicants must be a resident of or currently attending school in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin or North/South Dakota and submit a completed application, transcripts as well as a letter from a nominator by mid-March each year. World Congress of Women Chiropractors Scholarship
For criteria and downloadable application, visit www.wcwchiropractors.org. The deadline is October 31 annually.

Palmer Main Campus Outside Scholarships

Ruth Lambrick Vantieghem Scholar Award
Applicant must be in at least their second year of college and plan to continue their education with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and complete an essay on their heritage in addition to the application and letter of recommendation by mid-April each year. Ascentra Credit Union Scholarship
Applicants must have an account established in their own name at Ascentra Credit Union (employees and their dependents are ineligible to apply) and submit an essay explaining how an experience from their life has influenced their financial outlook. The deadline is by late February/early March each year. Visit www.ascentra.org/scholarships for application and other details.

Palmer Florida Outside Scholarships

The Ponce Inlet Women’s Club Genesis Scholarship
