As a Palmer student, you enter a large alumni network to rely on after graduation. As a Palmer Dragon, you’ll join an alumni network of more than 500 Doctors of Chiropractic across the globe.
Preceptorships
Alumni have the opportunity to host a Palmer student in their chiropractic practice through the preceptorship program. Students in their final term can gain clinical experience through the Intern Preceptorship Program under the supervision of a licensed chiropractor who’ll serve as a mentor. This program is a great way for rugby alumni and current players to connect off-campus.
Alumni Recruitment
It is a testament to the strength of our bond with our alumni that has kept the Palmer Rugby Club competitive. While the Palmer players, coaches, trainers, students and staff invest time and efforts to contact teams and potential players, our biggest advantage is still our strong alumni network. The vast majority of student rugby athletes are referred to Palmer after having experienced chiropractic care from an alum.
We need your involvement and invite your assistance in helping us recruit top-level rugby prospects and high-quality athletes to our club. We will send you any amount of recruiting packets that you need to hand out at events or meetings. Contact Ron O’Brien at obrien_@palmer.edu to get set up.
- Get Involved Locally. Visit your local athletic sports clubs and teams to discuss the opportunities Palmer has to offer.
- Visit Tournaments. There are more than 100 opportunities to visit tournaments or playoffs to represent chiropractic and Palmer rugby each year.
