Radiology in Clinical Chiropractic
Ian McLean, D.C., DACBR

This class with consist of reviewing imaging studies and clinical cases pertinent to clinical chiropractic practice. Dr. McLean will discuss diagnoses and management and referral options for cases presented. Examples discussed will include cases with imaging on X-ray, MRI, CT, and US.

Navigating Lower Extremity Injuries in Running and Jumping Athletes: From Pathomechanics to Performance 
Emma Forlow, D.C., CCSP®, ATC

In this 2-hour session, Dr. Forlow with discuss common injury patterns and risk factors in various sports. She will review biomechanics and discuss assessment and diagnosis. Treatment and rehabilitation strategies are also reviewed. Finally, she will discuss injury performance and performance optimization.

Retained Primitive Reflexes in the Adult Patient: Chiropractic Recognition and Care
Aaron Hildreth, D.C.

This two-hour continuing education lecture provides chiropractors with a clinical framework to recognize, assess, and manage retained primitive reflexes in adult patients. While often associated with pediatric development, primitive reflexes can persist into adulthood and may contribute to chronic musculoskeletal dysfunction, postural imbalances, and neurobehavioral challenges. This course explores the neurological basis of these reflexes, their clinical presentations in adults, and chiropractic approaches to assessment and care within scope of practice. Practical strategies for incorporating reflex integration techniques, spinal adjustments, and co-management with other professionals will also be discussed.

The Cardiology Exam for the Chiropractor

This course will provide a refresher for the chiropractor on the cardiology examination. We will discuss cardiac diagnosis including interpretation of heart sounds and basic evaluation of electrocardiograms.

5-7 p.m.

Movement Matters: Prioritizing Quality Movement Through the Lifespan
Alex Margrave, D.C.

This course emphasizes the importance of movement assessment and proper biomechanics from childhood through old age. The session begins with a brief anatomy and biomechanics review, and a discussion of the public health rationale for movement and balance screenings. Participants will learn how to distinguish a joint dysfunction from a stability or motor control dysfunction, and easy-to-implement screening tools for soft-tissue dysfunctions. Special attention will be given to the needs and concerns of the older adult populations. The session concludes with a discussion of movement strategies to include joint loading, motor re-education, and building capacity at any age.
