Perceptions and Use of Chiropractic Care in 2015; Analysis of a Gallup Poll

Funding Source: Internal

Principal Investigator: Dennis Marchiori, DC, Ph.D.

Description: Palmer College of Chiropractic, in collaboration with Gallup, commissioned the first-ever nationally representative annual survey of adults in the U.S. to measure perceptions of and experiences with chiropractic. Previous research identified several barriers to widespread chiropractic use, including limited demographics of chiropractic users; unclear, narrow or nonexistent insurance coverage; public and physician perceptions of chiropractic; and inconsistent methods of measuring chiropractic use. The Palmer-Gallup study provides the first opportunity to test these assumptions and discover what U.S. adults think about chiropractic.
