The Port Orange, Fla., Campus has national scope
This Palmer campus opened in 2002 in Port Orange, Fla. (pop. 56,067), minutes from Daytona Beach and an hour from Orlando. The intimate 24-acre campus is located in a family-friendly neighborhood and serves 741 students hailing from 39 states and several foreign countries.
The Port Orange, Fla., Campus features three major buildings housing lecture halls, a library, technique labs, physical examination labs, and an X-ray view room, as well as ample study and common spaces for students to dine, relax or meet in various student clubs. The campus library participates with numerous local, state and national library networks and consortia to expand student access to resources and cooperative services.
The Port Orange, Fla., Campus Clinic system is composed of three clinics where students provide supervised care: an outpatient clinic that provides fee-for-service care, an outreach clinic that offers care at no cost to people who meet financial need requirements, and a Campus Health Center where students and their families receive chiropractic care.
Students also provide outpatient care through the Sports Council. Members of the Council work directly with athletes at community events such as the Daytona Beach LPGA and United States Tennis Association (USTA). Students also serve at local health and wellness events such as free screening at the YMCA.
