Academic Success and Wellness

Student Academic Support Centers is dedicated to promoting the welfare and success of all Palmer students by providing a number of academic support services. Both on-site and on-line resources are available to support your academic success.

Student Disability Services, a division of Student Academic Support Centers, promotes diversity by striving to provide equal access to qualified students with disabilities. Recognizing that the chiropractic profession will benefit from the skills and talents of persons with differing abilities, and in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Student Disability Services coordinates services for students with documented disabilities. Disabilities covered by 504 and ADA include:

  • learning disabilities
  • medical disabilities
  • psychiatric disabilities

If you have documented disabilities, questions or concerns about eligibility or services please contact the appropriate Disability Services Coordinator on your campus.

Reasonable academic adjustments and/or accommodations are designed to provide equal opportunity to students with disabilities.

Handbook for Students and Applicants with Disabilities and Guidelines for Documentation of Disabilities provides information on college policies, practices and procedures in compliance with Section 504 and the ADA. All students requesting a temporary (injury, surgery, pregnancy, etc.) or permanent accommodation are asked to complete and submit an accommodation request form. Qualified examiners may submit documentation of a student's disability using the Disability Verification Form.
