“Ashley is an outstanding student and is truly deserving of this recognition,” said Peter Martin, D.C., Campus President, “and we are appreciative to ChiroHealthUSA and the Foxworth family not only for selecting Ashley but also for the gift to the Florida Campus that will help yet more students achieve their dreams of becoming doctors of chiropractic.”

The Foxworth Family Chiropractic Scholarship is fully funded by ChiroHealthUSA and was established in honor of President Dr. Ray Foxworth’s parents, Dr. Betty Pace Mathews, and Dr. Charles Vernon Mathews. In December 2020, ChiroHealthUSA announced that this year’s scholarship would be given in honor of Dr. Tom Klapp. Dr. Klapp was a Board member of the Michigan Chiropractic Foundation, served as a Trustee for Life University, and served on The Chiropractic Summit since its inception on behalf of Life University, and was a Board member of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. Dr. Klapp was a founding member of OneChiropractic, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting drugless chiropractic.

“Tom was a driving force in this profession” said Dr. Ray Foxworth. “His love for the profession, his family, and his colleagues was evident in all his endeavors. It is his example of leadership that we hope to inspire in the students receiving this award.”
