Learn & Live On Main Campus

Palmer College is invested in the student experience. Our many campus enhancements and capital improvements have added plenty of spaces for students to live, study, learn, and unwind. The Quad Cities offers a variety of fun activities for students and families to enjoy within a short drive or bus ride.

The new Paul & Donna VanDuyne Hall offers housing for up to 139 students and is conveniently located on campus one street behind the Palmer Clinics where students practice their skills in a clinical environment. With lounges on each floor, free on-site laundry and an outdoor fire pit with grilling area, VanDuyne Hall offers a wonderful place to live and relax. The R. Richard Bittner Athletic & Recreation Center on campus offers classes, courts, equipment, and a three-lane track.

STUDY.
There are plenty of places to study on campus including the natural lighting of the Skywalk, group or individual study spaces within the David D. Palmer Learning Commons, with a coffee at Dave’s Coffee Corner, or enjoying the outdoor breeze in the Clinic Gardens, West Hall Courtyard, or the Charles & Hildegarde Keller Terrace.

The additions of the William J. & Mary A. Kiernan Hall – Anatomy & Technique Center, Evan & Cynthia Beane Learning Lab and renovated NCMIC Center for Business Development spaces have created improved, modern environments for students to learn and hone their skills before heading to the Trevor V. Ireland Student Clinic to gain clinical experience.

Students can unwind on campus with one of the intramural teams in the Recreation & Athletic Field, take a fitness class at the Bittner Center, or enjoy time in the Bruce & Bethel Hagen Student Union. The Union opened in 2020 and provides gaming pods for video game tournaments, a pool table, shuffleboard table, arcade games, golf simulator, and large-screen televisions with comfortable seating to view movies. The Campus Grounds coffee shop within the union sells coffees, smoothies, and light food items.
