Jacob Harden portraitMeet Jacob Harden D.C., one of our Faculty Clinicians. Dr. Harden graduated from the Palmer Florida Campus in 2014.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC?
I kind of stumbled into chiropractic. I always wanted to be in health care. And as someone who was active and had dealt with a lot of injuries, I wanted to be able to help people like myself without just telling them to stop doing the things they cared about. I moved to Florida in 2011 and found Palmer Florida purely by living in the area. I took a tour of the campus and knew immediately that this was a path that would give me the avenue I was looking for. I applied that night and the rest is history.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE FOR PATIENTS?
Be patient and ready for change. Most injuries take longer than we’d like and require temporary changes in our behaviors and lifestyle. Remember that being injured is an abnormal situation and may require you to break from your routine to get past it. The people that I see who do the best are the ones who are the most flexible and patient with the process.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A CHIROPRACTOR?
I’ll never get tired of seeing someone get back to doing an activity they’ve been missing. It can be an athlete returning to sport or someone doing a squat or touching their toes again. The joy they have getting to do that again reinforces why I got into health care in the first place.

Dr. Harden practices Diversified, Palmer Package, Activator, Flexion Distraction, Graston/ISATM, functional range release, sports rehabilitation through active and passive care, blood flow restriction training, and functional range conditioning.
