Palmer Insider Study Tips

As Palmer Main students gear up for finals, our work-study students share their top study tips.

  • “Flashcards are a great tool and so is color coordinating your notes. The key to studying is to find a place that feels relaxing, and for me, that’s the library.” – Adriana Rodrigues Alvarez, first-trimester student
  • “Write it down! Replicate your notes and concepts on another piece of paper or tablet. It can help make recalling topics much easier.” – Tristan Wendt, fifth-trimester student
  • “Color-code your notes so your brain knows where to refer back to on an exam. Draw out concept maps and pictures to help.” – Kate Hatch, fifth-trimester student
  • “Use multiple methods of studying for one subject – whether that be using a quizlet one day, reading and reciting lecture notes a different day, using a whiteboard to rewrite the notes on a different day. Seeing material in different lenses will help you master it.” – Michael Agyei, fourth-trimester student
