Palmer Florida student is first recipient of “Healer Gift Scholarship”

Alee Williams Quint can’t stop smiling. She recently found out that she’s the first recipient of the “Healer’s Gift Scholarship,” a scholarship funded by a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous to the public.

“I remember I was at the dog park of all places. My phone kept going off with all of these alerts. I remember looking down. My jaw job dropped and I screamed in excitement. I just got a $10,000 scholarship!”

Williams Quint says she was floored when she learned she’s the only recipient of this scholarship out of all three campuses this quarter.

“It honestly hasn’t sunk in 100%, but I am so incredibly grateful. I feel that all of my hard work getting to this point has been worth it. I feel a calming relief entering this quarter and receiving such a generous gift has without a doubt, transformed my heart in terms of giving back. I now want to one day be able to offer a scholarship similar to this because I understand what it feels like to be on the receiving end. I want to make that happen for someone else.”

To all of our generous donors who make dreams like Alee’s come true, thank you. You make a difference in their lives and we hope you know and feel how much you are appreciated.

Don’t forget students, you have until Aug. 31, 2019 to apply for the next round of scholarships through the Award Spring website. Good luck!
